    JAZZ THINGS UP with the 15-piece Southern Oregon Jazz Orchestra from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Imperial, 50 N. Front St., Medford. Featuring vocalist Dianne Strong, pianist Alan Berman and horn players Frank Hunnicutt, Danny Chavez and Pat DeBellis, the orchestra will play a mix of swing, Latin and arrangements of songs from the big-band era for dancing.     IF BLUES is more to your liking, In the Pocket will host the Ashland Blues Society's open jam at 6:30 p.m. at The Little Brown Jug, 104 S. Pacific Highway, Talent. Guitarist Leonard Griffie, drummer Billy Rock Blue and bassist Mark Cunningham will play a set of blues and R&B, followed by open sessions with other musicians. It's free to sit in and free to listen.

    A FAIR FOR SENIORS and those who love them starts at 9 a.m. at the Medford Armory, 1701 S. Pacific Highway, Medford. The annual ACCESS Senior Fair features more than 80 information booths from numerous organizations, including assisted living facilities, home health care services, medical groups, financial institutions, art organizations, AARP, Medford police, the Medical Eye Center, AAA Oregon/Idaho, ACCESS and Cover Oregon. Admission is a suggested donation of $1 or a can of nonperishable food at the door.

    IF YOU'RE CONCERNED about the problems drug addiction causes in the region, learn more during a free community forum from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Smullin Education Center on the Rogue Regional Medical Center campus, 2825 E. Barnett Road, Medford. The Jackson County Sheriff's Department, Medford police, Jackson County Health and Human Services and Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center representatives will cover why the region is a hot spot for drugs and how law enforcement, the jail and hospitals are handling the increasing problem of drug abuse.
