    • Burglary — Clayton James Lappat, 23, of the 2700 block of Hawaiian Avenue, Medford. Lappat made his initial appearance Tuesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on seven counts of first-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree theft and one count each of identity theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was booked Tuesday into the Jackson County Jail and released.
    • Arson — Sheila Ann Valentic, 36, of the 1200 block of Southeast Madison Street, Medford. Central Point police Tuesday arrested Valentic on a charge of first-degree arson. She was lodged Tuesday in jail and released.
    • Theft — Cooper Glenn Oliver, 49, of the 5900 block of Table Rock Road, Central Point. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Tuesday arrested Oliver on charges of aggravated first-degree theft, first-degree criminal mischief, and two counts of second-degree trespass. He was lodged Tuesday in jail without bail for violating the conditions of his probation on a previous drug conviction.
    • Forgery — Benjamin Richard Spence, 29, of the 7100 block of Griffin Creek Road, Medford. Medford police Tuesday arrested Spence on charges of first-degree forgery and possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged Tuesday in jail and later released on bail.
    Crime reports
    • Theft — 900 block of Siskiyou Boulevard, Medford. Medford police took a report at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday of a theft of an audio system from a vehicle. The loss was valued at $1,625.
    • Burglary — 900 block of Oregon Terrace, Medford. Medford police took a report at 7:16 p.m. Monday of a burglary at a residence from which a flat-screen television and gaming systems were stolen. The loss was valued at $2,020.
    • Burglary — 900 block of Garden Springs Circle, Medford. Medford police took a report at 1:25 p.m. Monday of a theft from a building of diamond and gold jewelry. The loss was valued at $25,100.
