  • Four young women are competing in the 2014 Miss Rogue Valley Scholarship Pageant, set for 7 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Cascade Christian High School, 855 Chevy Way, Medford.
    Tickets are $10 pre-sale and $13 at the door.
    The four contestants will vie for Miss Rogue Valley 2014 and Miss Rogue Valley's Outstanding Teen 2014. They are:
    • Hope Robinson, senior and honors student at Grants Pass High School.
    • Brianna Lee, Southern Oregon University freshman majoring in political science and sociology.
    • Katelyn Zimmerer, junior at Cascade Christian High School.
    • Emma Gaut, eighth-grade student at McLoughlin Middle School.
    For more than 50 years, the Women's Scholarship Foundation of the Rogue Valley, a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization, has sponsored the Miss Rogue Valley Scholarship Pageant. The pageant provides $13,000 in scholarships to young women in Jackson and Josephine counties and is the first step to the Miss America stage.
