Oregon baseball team to practice in Medford Monday

The University of Oregon baseball team will conduct a practice and meet with fans at Harry & David Field Monday.

The practice is from noon to 2:30 p.m. An organized autograph session for the public will follow until about 3 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for all seating areas, and there will be full food and beverage service.

The Ducks (14-5) are ranked 12th by Collegiate Baseball and host Utah in a three-game homestand, beginning today.

Their Medford stop comes as they travel south for nonconference games against San Francisco Tuesday and Wednesday and a Pac-12 Conference series at Stanford next weekend. Oregon is 2-1 in conference.


Medford Parks and Rectennis offered spring break

Medford Parks and Recreation will stage tennis program during spring break at Fichtner-Mainwaring Park.

The Spring Break Teen Tennis Program is Monday through Thursday and provides an opportunity for high school players to practice. Cost is $10.

There is also a youth program Tuesday through Thursday and March 31-April 3, and an adult program Tuesday through Thursday.
