May 5, 1934 ~ March 20, 2014
Wes enjoyed his childhood on the family farm in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He attended Klamath Union High School where he met and married the love of his life, Betty, in 1952. He was a Navy veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict and touring the South Pacific on the USS Rowan. After his military service, his career included construction and then the Timber industry at MEDCO for 27 years, followed by Timber Products, retiring in 2008. Wes enjoyed wood working, outdoor activities, keeping his yard like a park, and most of all, time with his loving wife and family.
Until we meet again in Heaven, Wes is survived by his wife, Betty, who will love him forever; his son, Bill, who will always remember him as his hero, rock, and best friend; and his daughter, Debbie Bartlett (Bill), who will cherish the lifetime of family memories and his amazing sense of humor. Other survivors include two grandchildren, Curtis Bartlett (Erin) and Chrissie Spires (Chad); and four great-grandchildren, Odin, Penelope, Eloise, and Brynn; his sister, Mary Caverley; and brothers, Raymond and Dale. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters, Peggy and Frances.
Lord be with you, Wes.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Eagle Point National Cemetery, Eagle Point, Ore.
