  • Our beloved Linda Susan Lane went to Heaven on Sunday March 16, 2014 in Medford, Ore. at the age of 54. She lost her long battle with Ovarian Cancer. She was born April 4, 1959 in Medford to Kenneth and Jessie Lane.
Linda was a life-long resident of the Rogue Valley, only leaving for a short period to attend college. She went to Oak Grove Elementary and graduated from Medford Senior High in 1977. She attended Portland State University and Southern Oregon State College where she studied medical and business management. She had a great passion for learning.
Linda worked at Bates Wholesale as a bookkeeper and Lerner's Clothing as store manager. She also co-owned Colorburst and Burst Industries. In addition she had also been a Realtor with John L Scott Real Estate.
Linda was very creative in arts and crafts. She loved to draw and paint in many different mediums. She was an outstanding quilter and could knit and crochet any pattern that was put in front of her. Linda was an organic gardener who loved to can her own food. She spent many hours in the kitchen preparing food for family gatherings. Her homemade sweet rolls were her specialty.
Linda was preceded in death by both her parents. She is survived by sisters, Rosalie Van Riper of Ridgefield, Wash., Gloria (Jim) Neill and Deanna Rogers, both of Medford; and brothers, Clint (Geri) Lane, Jerry (Marilyn) Lane and Robert (Kristene) Lane, all of Medford. She was the proud aunt to dozens of nieces and nephews. She was a great bond to our family and will be greatly missed.
