  • CORVALLIS — Eric Moreland has announced his intention to skip his senior season at Oregon State and enter the NBA draft.
Moreland made the announcement via Twitter on Saturday:
"I will forego my senior year to enter the NBA draft. OSU has been great to me! Thanks to all who supported me on this journey."
The news is not surprising considering Moreland has already graduated and has been looking at his options.
He tested the waters after the 2012-13 season and wound up deciding to stay at OSU.
Whether or not Moreland is picked in the two rounds remains to be seen. He is not listed in mock drafts at this point.
DraftExpress has him ranked as the No. 38 junior this season.
Moreland, a 6-foot-10 forward, played in 19 games and started 18 after serving a 12-game suspension to begin the season.
He averaged 8.2 points and 10.2 rebounds and had 36 blocks for the Beavers.
As a sophomore, Moreland started 22 of 29 games and averaged 9.4 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.5 blocks.
OSU coach Craig Robinson is now faced with rebuilding a team that has lost Moreland and seniors Roberto Nelson, Angus Brandt and Devon Collier.
