  • The Rogue Community College Foundation has named Judith E. Basker as its new executive director.
Basker will join the college May 19. She is currently senior major gifts officer for Willamette University in Salem, a position she has held since 2000.
Former Executive Director Jennifer Wheatley resigned in January after accepting a position with Dutch Bros., which is developing its own foundation.
Basker is the daughter of Anne and Jim Basker, longtime RCC supporters who both served on the RCC Board of Education.
Judith Basker was part of a team at Willamette University that planned and executed a $125 million capital campaign. Her primary expertise has been with major gifts from individuals and family foundations.
Basker earned a doctor of jurisprudence degree from the College of Law, Willamette University, and a bachelor of arts degree in communication arts (cum laude) from the University of San Francisco. She is a member of the Oregon State Bar Association, the Counsel for Advancement and Support of Education, the Mid-Willamette Valley Development Officers, and the Willamette Valley Development Officers.
Before her position at Willamette, Basker served as an executive recruiter and placement consultant for legal professionals in Houston, Texas; executive director and later regional representative of Oxbridge Academic Programs (New York and Houston); assistant vice president of candidate services with Law Services, Newton, Penn.; and assistant dean for admission at the WU College of Law. She also worked as an attorney in Portland.
