Ross Jay Conger of Central Point, Ore. passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Rogue Regional Medical Center. He was 66 years old.
Ross was a native of Central Point and attended Crater High School, graduating in 1965. He was also involved with the FFA. He graduated from OSU and moved to Anchorage, Alaska where he worked in collections for a bank. He returned to Central Point in 1978 to run the family farm after the passing of his brother, James Conger. He worked for collections upon his return and then for the Jackson County Animal Control.
He is survived by his son, Jay Conger, of Central Point, Ore.; sister, Anita Hopper of Vancouver, Wash.; and fianc, Jan Wells of Central Point, Ore. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Margaret Conger.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 at Memory Gardens.
