  • JACKSONVILLE HIKE-A-THON: The Jacksonville Woodlands Association will host its 21st annual hiking event through the Jacksonville Woodlands. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and will be followed by a presentation by JWA Executive Director Larry Smith. At 10:45 a.m., participants can choose between two hikes: a slower-paced, narrated hike along the Sarah Zigler Trail, and a non-narrated hike that runs three miles. Both hikes will reconvene at noon in Doc Griffin Park for a picnic lunch provided by Jacksonville Chiropractic Clinic.

    TASTE OF ASHLAND: The 25th annual event, the signature fundraising event for the Ashland Gallery Association, pairs small bites from 23 restaurants with wine from 17 regional wineries at 17 galleries in downtown Ashland. The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. today and Sunday. Tickets cost $50 for today, $40 for Sunday or $60 for both days and are available at Illahe Studios & Gallery, 215 Fourth St., Ashland Art Center, 357 E. Main St., online at www.atasteofashland.com or by calling 541-292-2302. Tickets can also be purchased from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Sunday at the Ashland Plaza kiosk.

    HIGH SCHOOL DANCE PARTY: Tumor Hater, a local nonprofit organization that benefits those battling tumors of any kind, will host a fundraiser, celebrity meet-and-greet and high school dance party to launch the organization from 4 to 11 p.m. at The Inn at the Commons, 200 N. Riverside Ave., Medford. The event will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. From 4:30 to 6 p.m., there will be a meet-and-greet with Juan Pablo and Nikki Ferrell (above), stars of the TV show "The Bachelor." A dance party with music by DJ Hope will run from 7 to 11 p.m. Students must have a valid school ID card to attend.

    ROGUE VALLEY CHORALE: The chorale, directed by Laurie Hunter, will present "Spring Splendor," a program that ranges from classical to contemporary, at 7:30 p.m. today and 3 p.m. Sunday, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S.
