  • Jeanette (Jay) Trentzsch, 65, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 6, 2014, in Central Point, Oregon. She was born in Thief River Falls, Minn., September 19, 1948 to Randall and Verna Noper. She married Michael Trentzsch October 18, 1969.
    Jay graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1971 with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She and her family moved to Medford, Ore. in 1989 where she continued in her profession, specializing in hand therapy. She recently retired as an independent OT from Grants Pass, Oregon. Jay had many interests including dancing, camping, playing cards, rafting, skiing, and most importantly, traveling. Her adventures took her to China, Norway, France, Jamacia, and Mexico, to name a few. She was a member of the local Slopes and Trails club where she enjoyed participating in many activities with fellow members.
    Jay is survived by her son, Jesse (Cyndy) Trentzsch and their two daughters, Genevieve and Miranda, of Woodburn, Oregon. She is survived by her sister, Karen (Paul) Trentzsch from Canon City, Colo. and their children, Ryan, Aaron. and Kelsey; as well as her brother-in-law, sisters-in law, and several nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; and her parents.
    A celebration of life was held by the Slopes and Trails members April 13, 2014. Jay's loving smile and embracing personality will be deeply missed by her family and all who were fortunate to call her friend.
