Aaron Browne-Moore, North Medford boys track
The senior sailed to the second best triple jump mark in school history with a leap of 44 feet, 9 inches at the 30-team Sterling/Lithia Invitational meet at Oregon Tech. He improved his PR by more than a foot.
Aaron Cesaro, Cascade Christian boys track
The senior won the shot put with a state-best throw and the discus at the 30-team Sterling/Lithia Invitational at Oregon Tech. His put of 51-21⁄4 leads the state in Class 3A. He won the discus at 154-5.
Alee Pinkerton, Prospect-Butte Falls softball
The senior won both ends of a doubleheader against Lost River, allowing four hits and striking out 13 in Game 1 and hurling a one-hitter with nine Ks in Game 2. She added two hits and three RBIs in the opener and a two-run single in Game 2.
Taylor Tibbets, Crater baseball
The senior hit a two-out, three-run home run to keep the Comets alive in the 11th inning against North Medford, then hit the game-winning single in the bottom of the 15th for an 8-7 SOH win. He was 4-for-7.
Dylan Wu, St. Mary’s boys golf
The senior withstood miserable conditions to shoot a 3-under-par 69 and win the Tetherow High Desert Challenge in Bend by five strokes. Wu led the Crusaders to the title over 15 others teams from 6A to 3A.
