This is no trivial matter ... or maybe it is: Tuesday is trivia night in three different venues in three different cities:
    • TEST YOUR SKILLS from 5 to 7 p.m. at South Stage Cellars, 125 S. Third St., Jacksonville, while you sample a wine or two or three. Teams of two to six people will compete to answer questions about random topics from host Jeff Kloetzel. For more info on the free event, call 541-899-9120 or see www.southstagecellars.com.
    • NOT TO BE OUTDONE, Southern Oregon Brewing Company, 1922 United Way, Medford, will offer its own trivia contest from 6 to 8 p.m. Teams of one to four people will compete for prizes in a trivia competition covering a variety of categories. (Of course, the samples there will have more to do with hops than grapes.) It, too, is free, and more info can be had at 541-776-9898 or www.sobrewing.com.
    • AND DON'T FORGET the original trivia night in the Rogue Valley, starting at 7 p.m. at Louie's Restaurant & Bar, 41 N. Main St., Ashland. Admission is $1 and prizes will be awarded. Children are welcome to participate but must be out of the restaurant by 10 p.m. Call 541-482-9701 for more details.
