  • In Loving Memory
    October 6, 1932 ~ April 29, 2014
Clara Jean Clement (ne`e Krein) was born October 6, 1932 in Placerville, California. Clara was the 13th of 16 children. She lived in Sacramento, California when she met the love of her life, Paul. Together they had three children as they moved around the country, finally settling down in Eagle Point, Oregon in 1971. Clara and her husband, Paul, quickly became active community members and are both remembered and beloved by many in the area.
Clara was at once both strong and nurturing. She could buck hay with the best of them while at the same time being a devoted mother and grandmother. Clara was known as a selfless person with a quick sense of humor, even in her final days, and those who knew her were instantly drawn to her unique charm and character.
Clara passed away April 29, 2014 in the loving embrace of her family. She will be dearly missed by all those surviving her. She is survived by her three children: daughter, Carol Krueger of Central Point, Oregon, son, Allen Clement of Eagle Point, Oregon, and daughter, Pauline Merit of Battle Ground, Washington; along with five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Clara is also survived by two siblings, Delores Jantzen of Roseville, California and John Krein of Napa, California.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014 in the Medford Neighborhood Church Annex building, 1819 West Stewart Avenue, Medford, Oregon. A potluck/gathering will follow immediately after the service. Location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, Clara requested donations be made to the Medford Gospel Mission.
