The 12 counts of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse and 12 counts of second-degree encouraging child sex abuse Murray was indicted on by a Jackson County grand jury in December were all dropped.
He was charged with the crimes while lodged in the Jackson County Jail following his arrest in September on two counts of first-degree sodomy.
According to the indictment, after police arrested Murray in September, they discovered 24 photographs on his computer of sexually explicit conduct involving children, but he pleaded not guilty to all charges in Jackson County Circuit Court.
All 24 of the charges were dismissed on Feb. 20, Oregon Judicial Department records show.
Concerning the two counts of first-degree sodomy Murray was arrested for on Sept. 9, he was convicted of both in Jackson County Circuit Court on Feb. 27 and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Oregon Judicial Department records show Murray is appealing the verdict, which was handed down by a 12-person jury.
