    SELF-GUIDED TOURS of the Ashland Memorial Mausoleum will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery. Why would you want to tour a mausoleum, you ask? The historic structure was built of concrete with interior Alaskan marble sheets in the 1920s and features stained-glass windows and beveled glass in the entry doors by the Povey Brothers of Portland, according to the city of Ashland's website. The bronze doors, at 1,200 pounds each, were made by Eagle Iron and Brass Works of Ashland at a cost of $1,800. The mausoleum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Call 541-552-2233.
