    The Guess Who is among those headlining in July

  • The Jackson County Fair has announced a slate of country and classic rock acts that will take the stage at the annual fair July 15-19.
    Kicking off the concerts will be Wynonna & The Big Noise, performing Tuesday, July 15. Wynonna Judd is a five-time Grammy winner and known for hits such as "I Want to Know What Love Is," "She Is His Only Need" and "I Saw The Light," among others. She is also a New York Times bestselling author, actress and philanthropist and appeared on "Dancing with the Stars."
    On Thursday, July 17, country artist Mark Chesnutt will perform. His musical career boasts 14 No. 1 hits, 23 top-10 singles, four platinum albums and five gold records. His top hits include "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" and "Brother Jukebox."
    Canadian rockers The Guess Who will close out the concert series on Saturday, July 19. The original Guess Who hit the Top 40 14 times with songs such as "American Woman," "These Eyes" and "No Time." Original members Jim Kale on bass and drummer Garry Peterson remain with the current group.
    All concerts begin at 8 p.m. Fair admission is required and tickets for reserved concerts seats will be $15, $20 and $30. For the first time, free grass seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Gates open at 6 p.m.
