Stephanie Croy, Cascade Christian girls track and field
The senior was second in the Class 3A state 3,000 meters, clocking 11:02.75, and followed it up with a third-place finish in the 1,500 with a career-best time of 4:58.77.
Halley Folsom, North Medford girls track and field
The junior won the state championship in the Class 6A high jump, clearing 5 feet, 5 inches, and placed second in the 300-meter hurdles with a school-record time of 44.09 seconds. She also ran a leg on the 4x400 relay that placed sixth.
Tori Romig, Phoenix girls track and field
The senior matched the best Class 4A discus throw at the state meet with a heave of 133-5, but was relegated to second place when the tiebreaker went to the second throw. She improved her personal best by nearly 7 feet.
Tracy Salgado, St. Mary’s boys track and field
The senior used a big finishing kick to capture the Class 3A state gold medal in the 800 meters with a time of 2:00.67, capping a day in which he was third in the 400 (51.19) and helped the Crusaders to fifth in the 4x400 relay.
