  • Mezzo soprano Rachel Hyman will perform a concert of music typically heard in a Jewish synagogue at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at the Rogue River Seventh-day Adventist Church, 4300 N. River Road.
    Hyman has performed more than 400 concerts in 15 countries, and she will speak about her conversion from Judaism to Christianity. The concert is free. See www.singinginthedark.info.
    Eastwood Baptist Church will hold a ballroom dance fundraiser from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the church Koinonia Building, 675 N. Keene Way Drive, Medford.
    The fundraiser will include instructions on traditional, swing and line dances, and donations will be accepted for the church's mission trip to Rainbow Acres, a Christian-based ranch for developmentally disabled adults in Arizona. Call 541-779-7831.
    The Medford United Church of Christ, a congregation designated as open and affirming of GLBT people, will provide legal, spiritually celebratory wedding services for same-sex couples now that the state constitutional ban against such marriages has been rescinded by a federal court decision.
    The church will hold its worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 1, at 1801 E. Jackson St. Following the service will be a class for new members and visitors to answer questions at 11:30 a.m.
    The church will offer "Living the Questions" adult study programs at 7 p.m. Mondays and 11 a.m. Tuesdays. Call 541-772-8860.
