    BUNCOM DAY: The 12th annual event is a pioneer version of a museum reception, patriotic festival and country fair rolled into one. Events run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., including live music by Bob Haworth and one-man band Bob O'Luney, a noon parade, the "chicken splat contest," a barbecue lunch and more. Free. See www.buncom.org.
