Junior-to-be Brady Breeze plans to transfer from South Medford to Central Catholic and play football for the Portland school, the reigning Class 6A state champion, according to a story that appeared on oregonlive.com Monday.
Central Catholic coach Steve Pyne was quoted as saying "it is official as of this morning." He said Breeze was accepted as a transfer but that paperwork with the OSAA still had to be done.
In an earlier story on the website Northwest Elite Index, Breeze was said to have met with Central Catholic players over the weekend and spoke of how difficult it will be to leave Southern Oregon.
South Medford head football coach Bill Singler declined comment.
Breeze was a second-team all-Southwest Conference defensive back for the Panthers last fall.
