In loving memory of Bobby Joe Johnson, 77, of Jacksonville, Ore. who was called home Saturday, May 24, 2014. Bobby was born June 10, 1936 in Sudan, Texas but made Medford, Oregon his home most all of his life and resided in Jacksonville for the last 19 years.
Bobby is survived by Butch, his loving wife and soulmate of 51 years; five sons, Rodney Johnson (Jan), Curtis Johnson (Laurie), Rick Johnson (Mandy), Vince Johnson, and Rob Johnson; five daughters, Debbie Fisher (Greg), Vickie Grimm (Richard), Gina Salinas (Oscar), and Ronda Nathe; one brother, Johnny Johnson; one sister, Doris Ann Williams (Ben), 32 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bobby was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, uncle and grandpa who treasured his family. He was hardworking and drove truck all his life, the last 18 years for Crater Sand and Gravel.
Bobby truly enjoyed life, he enjoyed taking his boat out and fishing. He liked cars and trucks, he restored a few in his life and won trophies from entering them in car shows. Fourteen years ago he discovered and bought a trike (3-wheel motorcycle). He loved his trike and going on rides and trips with his family and friends.
Bobby loved people and enjoyed sitting outside having good conversations and telling his funny stories. He always made people laugh.
Bobby will be missed tremendously by everyone who knew him. He touched many peoples lives. He will never be forgotten and will live on in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 740 Bybee Dr., Jacksonville, in the back.
