GRANTS PASS — Ramon Laureano had three hits and three RBIs to lead the Medford Rogues to a 15-4 nonleague victory over the Grants Pass Nuggets on Wednesday at the Grants Pass Sports Park.

Laureano was 3-for-3 with a double and scored three runs, and Yuto Kata, Chris DeVito and Clayton Meyers added two hits apiece for the Rogues (3-4-1), who scored nine runs in the second inning to open up a 12-0 lead. The game was scheduled for nine innings, but was stopped after seven by the mercy rule.

DeVito was 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI, Meyers 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI and Kata 2-for-4 with two runs for the Rogues. Medford's Jeremy Cronk picked up the win after allowing one run on four hits in four innings of work.

Josh Cowell was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI and Marco Garmendia 2-for-4 for Grants Pass, an American Legion AAA squad.

The Rogues travel to face the Klamath Falls Gems in another nonleague game today.
