  • Discover wines from Applegate and Rogue valley vineyards during Britt Festival's fourth annual Taste of Summer celebration this weekend in Jacksonville.
The wine walk will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 7, and include stops at wine-tasting rooms, galleries, coffee houses and downtown merchants. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at the Taste of Summer booth at North Third and California streets. Tickets include wine glasses and wine tastes at the stops.
Sample wines from Cliff Creek Cellars at Elan Gallery, Daisy Creek Winery at Stim Coffee, Dancin Vineyards at The Crown Jewel, EdenVale Winery at LaBoheme, Grizzly Peak Winery at Terra Firma, La Brasseur Vineyard at Creators Gallery, Pebblestone Cellars at Jacksonville Mercantile and more.
Look for a beer garden — with selections from Caldera, Ninkasi and Wester Beverage — and food carts gathered around a covered stage on South Third Street, along with exhibits of photography by Tom Glassman and silk paintings by Judy Elliott.
Elan Gallery, at 245 W. Main St., will display "Thoroughbred," an exhibit by painter Gabriel Mark Lipper. Pottery by John Dodero, collage by Jerry Simon, and acrylic and watercolor paintings by Katherine Gracey, Dan Beste and Anne Brooke will be displayed at Art Presence Art Center, 206 N. Fifth St. Art Presence will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Classic cars from Rogue Valley Street Rods, Rogue Valley Classic Chevy Club, Rogue Valley As, Rogue Valley Model T Club and the Stray Cats Jacksonville Car Club will be parked along California Street. On the corner of Fourth and East California streets, visitors can see vintage travel trailers and antique fire trucks. Popcorn and snow cones will be available at this location.
At 11 a.m., New Napa Wine, a new business featuring Southern Oregon wines, will host a free wine and summer herb talk at Art Presence. Wine walk tickets will be available at the talk, and visitors can start the wine walk from this location.
Live music by local musicians will be presented at three different locations around downtown.
On South Third Street, look for the Maraval Steel Band from 11:45 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.; spicy Latin and Cubano grooves by Salsa Brava from 1:25 to 2:20 p.m.; and hard rock band 100 Watt Mind from 3:05 to 4 p.m.
On North Fourth Street, singer and songwriter Em Harriss will perform from 12:40 to 1:25 p.m., and guitarist and recording artist Jeff Stanley will play from 2:20 p.m. to 3:05 p.m.
On Oregon and Main streets, across from Good Bean Coffee Company, classical guitarist Tye Austin will play from 12:40 to 1:25 p.m., and singer and songwriter Elias Deleault will perform from 2:20 to 3:05 p.m.
