  • KLAMATH FALLS — After the Medford Rogues amateur baseball team pulled itself together over the eighth and ninth innings to score eight runs, tie the game 13-all and send the game into extra innings, the Rogues completed their comeback by scoring three runs in the top of the 11th inning in a 16-13 nonleague victory at Kiger Stadium on Thursday.
Following a scoreless 10th and with the game deadlocked at 13-apiece, the Rogues (4-4-1) loaded the bases and Clayton Meyer walked to push home Medford's go-ahead run. With the bases still full the Rogues added insurance runs after Ramon Laureano was hit by a pitch to force in another run and Yuto Kata's cajoled a walk to put Medford up 16-13.
Kata started two big inning-ending double plays in the ninth and 10th innings.
Levi Pereira went 5-for-7 with five RBIs for the Rogues, who collected 21 hits as a team.
The Rogues received three hits apiece from E.J. Lopez, Blaine Tanner — two were doubles — and Chris DeVito, who also drove in three runs.
Matt Cole also went 2-for-6 for the Rogues. The Rogues scored five runs in the top of the eighth inning and tallied three more in the ninth.
