  • Norman Wallace Vance passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014. He was born in Aberdeen, Wash. to Lewis and Ruth Vance December 14, 1926.
    His family moved to Medford, Ore. when Norman was a toddler. Norman joined the Navy when he was 16 and served for 5 years during
    WW II. After leaving the Navy, Norman went to work for Medford Corporation and retired from there after 40 years.
    In 1948, Norman married Shirley Burlesone and they have four children, Stephen Vance (Lyla) of Medford, Barbara Perez (Simon) of California City, Calif., Teresa Hector (Jim) of Medford, and Debra Hasha of Medford. Norman and Shirley also have eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
    Norman was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jack and Richard; grandson Jeremy Hasha; great-granddaughter Abrieanna Vance; and great-great-grandson Izrael.
    A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday June 13, 2014 at Hillcrest Memorial Park on North Phoenix Rd.
