    Rogues down Elks in WCL contest

  • The Medford Rogues improved to 3-2 in West Coast League action with a 4-2 victory over the Bend Elks at Harry & David Field on Tuesday.

  • The Medford Rogues improved to 3-2 in West Coast League action with a 4-2 victory over the Bend Elks at Harry & David Field on Tuesday.
    Levi Pereira finished 2-for-3 with an RBI sacrifice fly in the fifth inning.
    Andre Vigil hit an RBI single and Pereira scored on an error to put Medford ahead 2-1 in the second.
    Yuto Kata's RBI groundout made it 3-1 Rogues before Bend (2-3) added a run in the fifth.
    John Forsythe earned the win after allowing five hits, two runs (one earned) and two walks and striking out two in six innings.
    The two teams play today at 6:35 p.m.
