White City man apparently crushed by truck he was working on

A little at-home mechanic work turned deadly Wednesday when a White City man was found crushed beneath his Ford Ranger, police said.

Graham Wilkins, 85, of the 12000 block of Modoc Road, was confirmed dead upon the arrival of Jackson County Fire District No. 3 paramedics just before 8 p.m. Wednesday, a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff's Department said.

Deputies responding to a report of a man trapped beneath a truck said the truck's hood was up and the serpentine belt was partially removed from the Ford's engine, the release said.
