  • Two more arrests have been made in the investigation into a suspected Jackson County drug ring.
Sara Cathleen Garman, 24, of Medford, remains in the Jackson County Jail on nine counts of criminal conspiracy to deliver heroin, two counts of criminal conspiracy to deliver cocaine, and two counts of racketeering.
Kristina Louise Freniere, 30, also of Medford, remains in the jail on criminal conspiracy charges to deliver heroin, cocaine and hydrocodone — one charge for each drug — and two charges of racketeering.
Both women were booked in the jail Wednesday and have bails set at $1 million each.
Freniere lived at a home in the 3000 block of Cheltenham Road, one of three homes raided by numerous police agencies May 27 as part of an extensive drug investigation.
Three days prior to the raids, police arrested 34-year-old Henry Arthur Carr, Jr. on a federal parole warrant stemming from drug-related charges in Nevada. Police say they believe he was heavily involved in dealing drugs around Jackson County. Authorities issued warrants for his home, in the 900 block of Broad Street, and at two properties he was known to frequent — Freniere's Cheltenham home and a home in the 900 block of Royal Court.
Medford police, Oregon State Police, and Rogue Area Drug Enforcement served warrants at the homes during a May 27 raid. Police seized a Ruger pistol, oxycontin, cash, scales and distribution supplies. They also arrested Sheldon Ladone Wesley, 18 and Anthony Alan Henshaw, 35, both of Medford. Neither are listed in the jail.
Police interviewed Freniere during the initial raid but did not arrest her right away.
"As the investigation continued and they ended up getting more information, (police) determined she needed to be in the jail," said sheriff's department spokeswoman Andrea Carlson.
Police picked Garman up on a warrant, Carlson added. The investigation into the drug ring is ongoing.
