  • Fox was first-team all-state
Crater senior Ty Fox was named to the Class 6A baseball all-state first team after the right-handed pitcher posted a 7-1 record and 0.99 ERA this past season for the top-ranked Comets. Fox struck out 59 and walked 20 in 562/3 innings to complement a season in which the third baseman hit .305 with 13 runs and 14 RBIs. Fox was one of six Crater players to earn all-state honors, the most of any 6A school. He was inadvertently omitted from Thursday's newspaper article.
