Felony arrests

  • Assault — Suzzanne Elizabeth Pratt, 46, no known address. Sheriff's deputies Friday arrested Pratt on charges of fourth-degree felony assault, fourth-degree assault and harassment. She was booked into the Jackson County Jail and released on her own recognizance.
  • Drugs — Zachary Louis Stevens Young, 23, of the 800 block of Ridgeview Drive, Eagle Point. Medford police Friday arrested Young on charges of possession of methamphetamine and failure to appear on seven counts of possession of methamphetamine, three counts of third-degree theft, second-degree trespassing and second-degree theft. He was lodged in jail on $50,000 bail.
  • Fugative — Michael Dean Simons, 53, of Mesa Ariz., Medford police Friday arrested Simons on charges of attempt to elude on foot, attempt to elude in a vehicle, reckless driving, providing false information to a police officer and being a fugitive from Arizona. He was lodged in jail without bail.
  • Drugs — Bret Scott Walker, 43, of the 800 block of Danconia Drive, Trail. Sheriff's deputies Friday arrested Walker on charges of possession of methamphetamine and tampering with evidence. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance.

Crime reports

Theft — 1300 block of Center Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report at 2:33 p.m. Friday of a theft of miscellaneous items. The loss was valued at $2,373.

Fire Calls

Medford Fire-Rescue was called to a report of a structure fire in the 1000 block of Table Rock Road at 9:04 p.m. Friday. A basket of laundry caught fire inside the K & L Coin-Op laundromat and was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
