  • A new shuttle bus service between Klamath Falls and Medford has been launched to help link the Klamath Basin to a commercial airport.
Klamath Falls no longer has passenger air service, so many travelers will fly through Medford instead, Oregon Department of Transportation officials said.
ODOT is supporting the South West POINT shuttle, operated by Klamath Shuttle.
The South West POINT, which began operating in spring 2009, runs a round-trip route every day between Klamath Falls and Brookings, including a stop in Crescent City, Calif.
With an updated schedule, South West POINT gets to the airport in just under two hours.
It leaves the Amtrak Station in Klamath Falls at 9:50 a.m. and arrives at the Medford airport at 11:35 a.m. It leaves the Medford airport at 5 p.m. and arrives back in Klamath Falls at 6:50 p.m., officials said.
Fares for the trip are $25 for adults, $22.50 for seniors 62 and older, and $18.75 for children 2 to 11. Tickets are available at 445 S. Spring St., Klamath Falls, and can be purchased from the driver for cash.
