  • Celebrate the city of Talent and the growing number of vineyards in Southern Oregon with three days of festivities this weekend. Look for an art walk, live music, kids activities and more.
Friday, June 20, features the Talent Art & Music Festival from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitors can stroll through Talent businesses, which will offer live music, art, appetizers and beverages. A list of businesses will be available at Ray’s Food Place, 215 E. Wagner St. Visit all businesses on the list and be eligible to enter a drawing for $100 in “Talent Bucks.”
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, the Southern Oregon Grape Fair will take place between Seiber and East Main streets, behind Camelot Theatre.
There will be live music by TC and the Reactions, Siskiyou Summit, Salsa Brava, Madrona and Hand in Hand Drumming. Spirits, beer and wines will be available, and kids’ activities will include a dunk tank, face painting, a bounce house, field games and more.
Artists may pick up a canvas early Saturday, create a vineyard-inspired art piece (matted and framed) and enter it into a juried plein air competition.
A 20-mile bike race starts at 8:30 a.m. and a four-mile family ride starts at 9 a.m. Afterward, there will be a barbecue hosted by Jackson County Fire District No. 5 and a kid’s bike rodeo by Rogue Valley Transportation District.
