    — Carl Beckmann, Medford
Carl, although our June 13 Since You Asked column indicated that Allegiant Air flights from Medford to Los Angeles may be suspended, officials have since said the airline will retain this route to Southern California.
"A lot of our L.A. flights go on a season hiatus after the summer since we just don't see the demand during the winter months," said Allegiant spokesperson Jessica Wheeler. "But Medford to L.A. will be year-round."
Allegiant currently offers flights between Medford and L.A. four days a week — Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. However, starting in mid-August, this route will be available only on Sundays and Thursdays, so plan accordingly.
Wheeler said one-way flights from Medford to L.A. this fall start at about $70 and go up around the holiday season.
Allegiant was booking flights to L.A. through Feb. 8 when we checked Friday. Disneyland is supposed to be beautiful that time of year.
