    • Sex abuse — Manuel Alejandr Vargas-Carmona, 33, of the 2000 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police Thursday arrested Vargas-Carmona on four counts of first-degree sodomy, four counts of first-degree sexual abuse and four counts of second-degree sodomy. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $1 million bail.
    • Drugs — Kristin Nicole Parashis, 28, of the 4000 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police Friday arrested Parashis on charges of possession of methamphetamine and a probation violation for a customs violation. She was lodged in jail without bail.
    • Vehicle theft — Alma Jean Hollingshead, 23, no known address. Medford police Friday arrested Hollingshead on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and failure to appear on two counts of possession of methamphetamine, interfering with a police officer, first-degree trespassing and second-degree trespassing. She was lodged in jail on $35,000 bail.
    • Vehicle theft, fugitive — Joshua Franklin Temple, 34, of the 2200 block of Table Rock Road, Medford. Medford police Friday arrested Temple on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and being a fugitive from California. He was lodged in jail on $260,000 bail
    • Drugs — Jeffrey Charles Smith, 28, of Wenatchee, Utah. Oregon State Police Friday arrested Smith on charges of possession of methamphetamine, delivery of methamphetamine and manufacturing methamphetamine. He was lodged in jail on $200,000 bail.
    • Theft — Joshua Joel Jamison, 33, of the 5200 block of Crowfoot Road, Trail. Sheriff's deputies Friday arrested Jamison on charges of first-degree aggravated theft, first-degree theft and second-degree trespassing. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance.
