Paul Denis Cooper Jr., 53, of Central Point, Ore. entered Heaven's gates June 28, 2014. Paul was born April 16, 1961 in Nuremberg, Germany to Paul Denis Cooper Sr. and Ute Ingeborg Wetzel Tate. Being in the military he grew up attending schools in Nuremberg, Germany, Fort Ord, Calif., Glendale, Ore., and Medford Sr. High School. After high school Paul joined the Oregon National Guard where he served and then retired after 20 years.
It was during this time in 1985 he married Donna Welch and they had the joy of his life, Ashley Dawn. He was the proudest dad and always had pictures in his wallet to show around. When his granddaughter, Trinity Joy, arrived he didn't think life could get any better. Family was always the most important thing and the center of his world.
In 2003 Paul married his love, Pamela Lewis. They have shared over 16 years together and he was so happy to find his soul mate.
Paul had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back and help anyone in need. He had so many friends and will be greatly missed by everyone. He was a special person, touching hearts wherever he went.
He is survived by his mother, Ute; brother, and best friend, Martin (Missy); sister, Sandi Rabjohn (Doug); daughter, Ashley (Nick); nephews, Zackary, Justin, and Joshua; nieces, Nicole and Caitlyn; and granddaughter, Trinity. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul Sr., and step-dad, Joe Tate.
Viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m., with service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Siskiyou Memorial Park.
