John "Jack" William Malson passed away peacefully with his family around him June 29, 2014 at Rogue Regional Medical Center, Medford, Ore. Jack was born February 11, 1934 to John Rodgers Malson and Fannie Suddoth in Deerpark, Wash. He and his wife, Janet, were married March 1, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nev.

Jack served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea. He later went on to own his own bar and restaurant. Jack was a fan of Nascar and also enjoyed football, fishing, golf, and RVing with his wife and friends. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, and the Rogue Valley Country Club. Both Jack and Janet loved and enjoyed their puppies. They took in and adopted numerous dogs over the years: Posie, Bowser, Piper, and Little Bit will miss their "daddy".

Jack is survived by his wife, Janet; children Starr (Richard) Graff of Colorado Springs, Colo., John (Loretta) Malson of Talent, Ore., Mary Malson of Portland, Ore., and Gay Hill of Phoenix, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Jack's life with military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Barkley's Full Moon, Phoenix, Ore.
