FOURTH OF JULY BREAKFAST: Boy Scouts from Troop 7 will host their annual Fourth of July breakfast of pancakes and sausage from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Central Point Grange Hall, 436 E. Pine St., Central Point. There also will be a silent auction of goods and services donated by local businesses. Cost is a suggested donation of $5, $3 for kids 12 and younger, $15 for a family of four.

IRENE HOLLENBECK MEMORIAL WILDFLOWER SHOW: The Siskiyou Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Oregon will host its annual wildflower show, which features more than 300 species of flowers from the Cascade and Siskiyou mountain ranges and the valleys in between, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Ashland Community Center, 59 Winburn Way, Ashland. RED, WHITE AND BOOM: The annual fireworks extravaganza in Central Point will kick off with a performance by Medford rock band The Seaons at 6:30 p.m. Presentations by the city of Central Point and the Chamber of Medford/Jackson County will follow at 8:15. Nashville country musicians Keith Anderson and Brian McComas will perform at 8:25 p.m. Starting at 9:30 p.m., there will be tributes to veterans of various wars. The Young Marines of Southern Oregon will present the colors, and Central Point Police Officer Brian Day will sing the National Anthem. The "Boom" will start at 10 p.m. and feature 30 minutes of fireworks set to patriot music presented by 95.7 KBOY and Q100.3. McComas and Anderson will close the event with an encore performance at 10:30 p.m.
