An Eagle Point man has been identified as one of two burglary suspects who allegedly broke into a Medford man's house June 23 and stole a safe containing debit cards and a Rolex watch.
Medford police said they were able to identify Richard William Myers, 31, of the 400 block of Shasta Avenue, with the help of the police department's Facebook page followers, according to a post on the social-media page.
Police have been unable to locate Myers, who has warrants for his arrest stemming from probation violations for charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana, a police news release said.
Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Myers is asked to contact Medford police at 541-770-4783.
After burglarizing the house, the thieves withdrew more than $5,000 from ATMs around the Rogue Valley before the stolen cards were canceled, police said.
The burglary took place in the 200 block of Florence Avenue, Medford.
Police caught a close-up glimpse of Myers from a convenience store's surveillance camera, as well as footage of the suspects' vehicle, a white Ford F250 crew cab.
Police have not released the identity of the second suspect.
