Pauline Elizabeth (Cope) Donahue slipped her earthly bonds to join the Lord and her loving husband on Saturday, June 28, 2014, surrounded by family and friends.

Pauline was born October 12, 1925 in Salem, Ill. to Lorin Vaughan Cope and Pauline Bachmann. She married Donald Mark Donahue May 18, 1946 in Salem, Ill., USA. Donald was a United Sates Marine and later worked for the C & E I, as well as the Union Pacific Railroad in many locations.

She attended a one room elementary school and then Salem High School graduating in 1943. Pauline studied business and accounting at Millikin University. After WWII, she reunited with her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Donald. His career eventually led them to Utah, where they spent many happy years. After Donald's death, she moved to Oregon where she created a beautiful circle of family and friends.

Pauline was a devout member of the Methodist Church, attending wherever she lived. She was very active with the First United Methodist Church of Ashland. She was the treasurer of the United Methodist Women, and active member of Caring Friends, Meals on Wheels, Circle of Friends, Meet-n-Eat Group, and Memorial Nurture Care. She was a major part of the yearly rummage sale and organized activities and "movie nite" for the residents of Mountain View Senior Living, later becoming a resident herself.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Savage and Karen Brown-Stockton; her three grandsons, Joshua Brown, Airin Brown, and Zack Savage, and granddaughter Kim Savage.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014 at First United Methodist Church with reception to follow at 4:00 p.m. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to United Methodist Church, National Wildlife Federation, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Wilderness Society or Sierra Club.
