  • VIDEO — Songwriter Ashleigh Flynn and her bluegrass band Back Porch Minority will celebrate Americana music tonight, July 7, at Oberon's Tavern, 45 N. Main St., in Ashland. Flynn has traveled the globe playing such festivals as Bonnaroo and Bumbershoot. She's also appeared on the syndicated radio programs Mountain Stage and Olt-Time Radio Hour.

  • Songwriter Ashleigh Flynn and her bluegrass band Back Porch Minority will celebrate Americana music tonight, July 7, at Oberon's Tavern, 45 N. Main St., in Ashland. Flynn has traveled the globe playing such festivals as Bonnaroo and Bumbershoot. She's also appeared on the syndicated radio programs Mountain Stage and Olt-Time Radio Hour.
    Flynn cut her teeth listening to the bluegrass music of Kentucky, where she was raised. She broke onto the national scene in 2008 with the release of her third album, "American Dream." Her newest album, "A Million Stars," was released in 2013. It was released on her own Home Perm Records and was produced by Chris Funk, best known as a member of The Decemberists.
    The music starts at 7 p.m. at Oberon's. There is no cover.
