    UP, UP AND AWAY IN A BEAUTIFUL BALLOON: The National Weather Service will put on a one-hour show-and-tell from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Talent library, 101 Home St. The focus will be on how meteorologists predict the weather, and the emphasis will be on severe weather safety.     GREEN SHOW: The Oregon Shakespeare Festival's free, family-friendly, multicultural Green Show performances start at 6:45 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays in the Allen Elizabethan Theatre courtyard, 15 S. Pioneer St., Ashland. Today's show will feature the ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum, which is participating in the Green Show for the first time.

    FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK: This month's walk will actually take place on the second Friday because of last Friday's July 4 festivities. The walk will be from 5 to 8 p.m., and maps are available at the galleries and Ashland Chamber of Commerce. Visitors can meet artists, see art demonstrations, hear live music and enjoy refreshments at some of the galleries.

    OREGON'S OWN 234TH ARMY BAND: The Clackamas-based concert band will perform a program titled "Heroes and Villains," featuring selections from the films "Frozen," "The Incredibles," "Superman" and "Les Misérables," as well as the multimedia piece "Godzilla Eats Las Vegas," at 7 p.m. at North Medford High School, 1900 Keene Way Drive.
