Al, are you trying to pawn off your old college couch on a poor, unsuspecting alley? Luckily for you, we have a rubbish answer to your garbage question.
Large items like that are the responsibility of the homeowner to get hauled away, and there is a cost associated with it.
Rogue Disposal & Recycling is the trash collection service here in Medford, and one of the services they provide is hauling away large items such as couches.
We talked to Gary Penning, director of marketing for Rogue Disposal, and he told us the cost is determined by the load.
"If it's something like a couch, we can usually give a price over the phone," Penning says. "We'd send someone out to assess haul-away costs if there was a large amount of items though."
If you need something hauled away, call Rogue Disposal at 541-779-4161. You can find more answers to your garbage questions at www.roguedisposal.com.
