Lester Les Richard Beugli, 91, of Medford, Ore. passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 in the comfort of his home.
Les was born to the late Ephriam and Edith Beugli, October 19, 1922 in Silverton, Ore. The youngest of four siblings, and the only boy, Les spent his childhood working on his family's farm. He attended Linfield College where he played football and baseball before he was drafted to serve his country. Les proudly served as a United States Marine in World War II, where he endured time on the island of Iwo Jima, Japan.
On May 24, 1946 Les was married to his wife, Ginger (Woodford) Beugli, and thereafter began a family with the addition of two sons; Rich and Mike in 1956 and 1958, respectively.
Les took pride in his work as a supervisor for Timber Structures, manufacturing large architectural beams, and later went to work for Kalt Manufacturing, where he oversaw production of commercial refrigeration equipment.
Les's passions included coaching, camping, fishing, playing fast-pitch softball, early bird golf, and the Portland Trailblazers! He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, thoughtful advice, knowledge, and sense of humor.
Les is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Ginger Beugli; children, Rich Beugli (Cheryl), and Mike Beugli (Julie); six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
At the request of Les, a memorial service will not be held.
