  • Walter Murray, son of Betty Taylor and Walter F, Murray (deceased), passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 surrounded by his family. Though he had battled cancer for some time the passing was unexpectedly sudden.

Walter worked in the paving industry for 28 years in a succession of companies that are now Knife River and paved many of the roads in and around the Rogue Valley. He enjoyed his work and took pride in his jobs. He was known to have a big heart and was generous to all he met.
He is survived by his two children, Derick Murray and Erin Murray; their mother, Jodi McGonagal; and grandson, Connor Murray. Walter is also survived by his mother, Betty Taylor; sister, Nadine Parker; and brother, Alan Murray, all of whom will miss him dearly.
