Mark Greogry Griffin passed away peacefully at a local hospital Thursday, June 12, 2014. He was born in Medford, Ore. He attended Roosevelt Elementary, Hedrick Middle School, and Medford Senior High School.

Following high school, Mark enlisted in the U.S. Army and served two tours of duty, including an extended posting in South Korea. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Mark worked several jobs in the Portland, Ore. area before injuries sustained during his military service left him disabled and unable to work. He moved back to the Rogue Valley in the early 1990s. He would later attend Rogue Community College, earning an Associates Degree in Business in 1997. He lived in the Medford area until moving to Grants Pass, Ore. for the past six years.

Mark is survived by one son, Aaron Lee; two grandchildren, Ashlee Page and Ryder Jacob; his mother, Arlien K. Brogan; and three brothers, Alan, Gary, and Kim Griffin. He was preceded in death by his father, Burrell S. Griffin, and step-father, William James Brogan.

A military burial will take place at Eagle Point National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Memorial donations may be made in his honor to the Army Emergency Relief Fund, the Grants Pass Gospel Rescue Mission, or to any person or family in need.
