    ART OPEN HOUSE AT THE AIRPORT: The work of local photographer Brian Prechtel will be featured in a new airport art display, and an open house will be held at 1 p.m. at the airport, 1000 Terminal Spur Road, Medford. The display will consist of nine 60-by-90-inch panels with photos of scenic locations. The images will be rotated throughout the year. Parking will be validated. Call 541-776-7222.

    BENEFIT CONCERT: A benefit concert and silent auction to bring back fifth-grade strings at Ashland schools will be held at Mountain Avenue Theater at Ashland High School, 201 S. Mountain Ave., Ashland. The silent auction begins at 7 p.m., concert at 8 p.m. Performers include Martin Majkut, Leslie Kendall and Ed Dunsavage, Scott Cole and Duan Whitcomb. Tickets cost $25 at the door, $10 for students.

    CAMELOT THEATRE: The Talent theater company, 101 Talent Ave., is staging "Les Miserables." Curtain is at 8 p.m. today. Set in 19th-century France, the musical tells the story of Jean Valjean, a peasant who hopes for redemption after serving 19 years in prison for stealing a loaf of bread. When he breaks his parole to start a new life, he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert. Renee Hewitt directs. Tickets are available at www.camelottheatre.org or 541-535-5250.
