  • The Medford Rogues couldn't complete their rally in a 6-5 loss to Walla Walla in West Coast League baseball action at Harry & David Field on Tuesday.
    With his team trailing 6-3, Medford's Christian Cox led off the bottom of the ninth inning with a home run. Nathan Etheridge was then walked and Clayton Meyer singled before pinch-hitter Victor Garcia struck out.
    After Rogues' Jeremy Goldenetz walked to load the bases, pinch-hitter Forrest Garcia drew a walk, allowing Etheridge to come home.
    Medford's comeback bid ended with an Adonis Morrison flyout and Spencer Smith strikeout.
    Etheridge finished 3-for-4 with an RBI and Smith and Meyer each had two hits for the Rogues (19-18), who tallied 11 hits.
    The second game of the three-game series is at 6:35 tonight.
