  • Is the new OSF building in Talent ever going to have a new sign?
    — Roger H., Talent
Roger, the sign has taken a backstage role — sorry, we're a pun-prone bunch — to the construction of the new 71,544-square-foot Oregon Shakespeare Festival production facility at 408 Talent Ave., Talent.
"There will be a sign," said Amy Richard, OSF's media and communications manager. "We're just slow. But it is on the list of things to do."
Richard said Craig Stewart, OSF's graphic designer, has already started working on a "modest, yet elegant" sign to grace the building.
About 40 OSF staff members will move into the custom-designed building in September. Richard guessed the sign would go up shortly thereafter.
The $7 million Talent bulding will allow OSF to consolidate set construction, painting and costume design, which currently are done in three buildings in two towns. It is the first OSF production building built specifically for set and prop construction.
