  • KITSAP, Wash. — The Kitsap Blue Jackets collected 13 hits en route to a 10-3 victory over the Medford Rogues in West Coast League baseball Saturday.

  • KITSAP, Wash. — The Kitsap Blue Jackets collected 13 hits en route to a 10-3 victory over the Medford Rogues in West Coast League baseball Saturday.
    The Rogues took a 1-0 lead in the second inning when Blaine Tanner opened with a double and scored one-out late on Ryan Teel's sacrifice fly.
    The Blue Jackets took the lead for good with three runs on three hits in the third inning. Jeffrey Bohling provided the big blow with a two-run single and Dylan LaVelle drove in the third run with a single.
    In the seventh, Medford combined singles by Teel and Spencer Smith and Yuto Kata's double to score two runs to cut Kitsap's lead to 6-3. But the Blue Jackets erupted for four runs in the bottom of the inning to put the game away.
    Kata paced Medford's offense with three hits.
    Kitsap received two hits and two RBIs from Bohling and Daniel Patzlaff, Zach Larsen and Daniel Woodrow added two hits each.
    The teams with complete the three-game series today at 3:05 p.m. at the Kitsap Fairgrounds.
